New Cloverfield Trailer??

According to comingsoon.net we are going to see a new trailer with a title on November 16. The trailer will be released for one of the previews for Beowulf. Now as exciting as this may be it could be one of those see it to believe it things. Will it be called 1-18-08, Cloverfield, who knows! Stay tuned and we get it out there as soon as we can!

JamieAndTeddy.com has once again been updated. This time, Jamie is suffering from an upset stomach and has someone (man or woman?) in her bed. She seems very apologetic, yet her story is seemingly very innocent.

Hey it’s me. Umm, it’s really early in the morning and I just wanted to catch you before you started your day. But, I have to explain last night, if it’s not too late. Umm, I ran into your skanky ex-girlfriend, and she basically threatened me and said that she was going to tell you that I was making out with guys on the dance floor, which is 100% not true. And I would expect for you to believe me over her.
I mean she obviously still likes you and it’s…it’s really obvious. And I’m not going to entertain but, I just wish that you would trust me, I mean, you know, I went out with my girlfriends and you’re the one that’s off saving the world and, you know, following your dream, but you left me here. You know and I just…I’m lonely and I went out with my girlfriends and it wasn’t a big deal.
Just please believe me and I mean, last night was horrible. I lost my purse with my phone in it and my wallet and my keys and everything. And I tried to text you but I didn’t…I couldn’t. And I’m going to call you immediately when I get my new phone today but I just, I just want you to know that I’m not perfect. I’m trying to be perfect. I’m doing everything that I can to make this relationship work under the circumstances. And, I mean, you know, everyone can’t be like Lily and Jason, you know? They’re…which by the way they are not perfect. They fought all night long. So, and I’ll tell you about it when you call me.

All right, I finally figured out how to work the camera, and I have about 15 horny girls waiting to go to Girls Night down stairs, so I have to make this really quick.

But, I'm here talking to you right now because of two reasons:

1: Because I miss you, I miss you so much, and...

2: Because you really effed me up with this gift, you can not--thank you by the way--but you can not send a girl a gift and tell her to open it on December 9th, which is forever away. You just can't do that. But, I gave you my word and it's going to sit here right at the edge of my bed until, until you say that I can open it, because I gave you my word.

And, I also got your text message, sorry...

[whispering] I got your text message earlier, I have to be quiet...

And I got, I just figured out the answer to your question: Six. Six times. And the answer that you got wrong is [whispering] corn bread.

Again, the significance of this video is lost on me. I'm sure there are several subtle clues about...something. For instance, Jamie receives a gift from Teddy, but she can't open it until December 9. Is this how long Cloverfield fans have to wait for more solid information? Jamie also mentions an answer to one of Teddy's questions, which is "SIX times." Whatever that means. Oh, and she appears to be drinking cranberry juice (possibly with some vodka). I wonder how that bladder infection is treating her?

It appears there is a new site entangled in this mystery we call Cloverfield. The page loads with the graphic above, and then prompts users to choose a language. Interestingly enough, English is the only one that works.

There is a lot of information on the Tagruato Web site to decipher and investigate. But, it seems the most important aspect is that this is a corporation with "fourteen drilling rigs strategically positioned around the globe, each a billion dollar marvel of modern engineering. One, the Chuai Station, is opening in September 2007 off the east coast of North America."


According to an interactive map on the site, it's not too far from the coast of New York. I suspect this may be the cause of monster attack. Deep sea drilling might awaken the monster, and the nearest land mass to that station is NYC.

There's also a lot of chatter on the site about cancer research using deep sea ingredients. The Slusho Web site also claims to include secret deep sea ingredients. And a snippet on the Tagruato site claims the following.

Tagruato's crew of Slusho! Smilers! arrived at the Ibaraki Nursing Home in Mito yesterday with a special surprise for the feeble elders on Floor 3 - Slusho! brand happy drink! The lovely ladies handed out seven drinks to each senior in any flavor they could imagine.

"This Mikan-Strawberry Tasty makes me feel young again!” exclaimed 98-year-old Hiro Chinen.

Another aged lady asked to have a Nashi-Banana Anime hooked into her IV.

As the patients sucked their drinks down, the Slusho! Smilers! sang and danced to the Slusho! Song! Those who were able clapped along.

"I felt like a pretty angel," said longtime Smiler! Kimi. "Dancing in front of those old folks showed them that just because they cannot leave their beds, the rest of us can, and the world is still a bright shiny place."

The nursing home donation is the latest wonderful act by the Tagruato Cares charitable foundation. Other recent events include Blankets for the Homeless and Tiny Orphan's Circus Fieldtrip.

FINALLY!

There's a new picture on 1-18-08.com. The picture definitely looks like it's been captured from a video, and unlike all the other pictures, there's no date listed on the bottom. This is the sixth picture on the site.

The picture depicts a chef holding some creation. On the flip side of the picture, there appears to be a recipe (written in Japanese?).

The recipe has been translated by Hinoai from Unfiction:

Here it is: (by the way, I don't think that it was written by a native speaker, because there are some odd syntax uses. He uses some very formal japanese mixed in with very informal.)

Everybody, thank you for viewing! I'll introduce this week's delicious recipe. Please make sure to keep this one cold!

*Skinless chicken breast - 2, cut in halves
*Soumen (a kind of japanese noodle) - 10 oz.
*Watercress - 1/2 cup cut into small strips
*Turnip - 1/2 cup, thinly sliced
*Shiitake (japanese mushrooms) - 1/2 cup
*Chicken stock - 1/3 cup
*Sake (japanese rice wine) - 2 tbsp.
*Sugar - 1/2 tsp.
*Ocean-bottom crab - one

In a small saucepan, stir together 1/3 cup water, chicken stock, sake, and sugar. Chill it until it becomes cold. Grill the chicken breast on both sides for about 8 minutes, and then chill. Boil the noodles for about 3 minutes, and then run under cold water until chilled. Mix the watercress, turnips, and mushrooms into the soumen. Slice the chicken thinly and arrange on top of the soumen mix. Just before you serve, put the crab in the sauce and pour over the noodles generously.

Just Call It 1-18-08

As we previously reported, there was speculation that the name of this film would be "Monstrous." Since then, JJ Abrams debunked that idea at Comic-Con, and we are left with more questions. Now, there are several reports that our beloved movie will be called "Wreck."

Honestly, I think we should just call the movie 1-18-08. Historically, dates of major catastrophies have held much more meaning than some nickname or slogan. Think 9/11. If the movie is called "Wreck," then so be it. But right now, I wouldn't put much stock in the idea.

IronJ146 Slusho "Flavors" Remix

These remixes are coming out of the woodwork! IronJ146 from The Unfiction Unforum has created a remix to the Slusho Flavors song.

This is a dancey little song I made using the sounds from the Flavors section of the Slusho page and bits of the roar. Yea, it's glitchy,clicky, unmixed, repetitive, or whatever. Seriously, I didn't spend much time on it, but it's fun. Check it out...
