JamieAndTeddy.com Video #5 - The Package

JamieAndTeddy.com has been updated once again. This time, Jamie is a little upset that Teddy still hasn't called, written, e-mailed, or text messaged her. But, I think we all know why. December 9th has come and it's time for Jamie to open her gift from her once-beloved Teddy. And she does! Quite exciting.

[Jamie sits on bed]
Hey Teddy. Uhhh, well, you haven't called and you haven't written and I haven't heard from you in probably about...a month! So, today's December 9th, and I'm going to open your gift. I wanted to do it on the phone with you, but you haven't called or responded to any of my text messages...pretty much disappeared from my life, so...
[Grabs gift]
I'm going to open your gift because I gave you my word that I would wait, and here we go.
[Begins to open gift off camera]
Well, at least you're good at wrapping.
[Grabs scissors to help open the box]
I mean, you can't even pick up a [mumbled] phone and let me know anything?
[Pulls out a Slusho! hat, tries it on, and tosses it]
Thanks for the hat...You know, most people send jewelry.
[Pulls out a plastic bag with tin foil in it]
"Primary evidence. Freeze ASAP. Jamie, don't eat this."
[Looks at camera, tosses primary evidence, pulls out a tape recorder from the box]
[Teddy's voice on tape recorder]
"Jamie, listen to me. All right, this is not a joke. If you're hearing this before we've spoken, then it means I've been captured by a company called Tagruato. Okay? Tag-ru-ato! Now listen, you...now this is important...don't call the authorities, it'll screw everything up. Just sit tight and wait to hear from Randy. He knows to call you. Um...we're on their station, okay. And, um, it's like they've done something, or they're making something, but look...the point is, I can't ca...I'm not going to be calling you again. You're not going to hear from me again. I just want you to wait for Randy. He will explain..."
[Jamie stops the tape recorder]
Oh my God...OH MY GOD! You know, Teddy! If you were seeing someone else, all you had to do was tell me, like a man. You know, I'm not playing your stupid [mumbled] games anymore! You're a prick, and I am done.

Cloverfield Myspace Pages Updated

For more than two months, the majority of the Cloverfield Character MySpace pages have been left alone, although HUD had his occasional blog entry about comics. As of yesterday, they’ve all been updated--except for Jamie’s page, her last login was 10/17/2007. Jamie’s probably been taking more strip classes and is too busy to update her page.

Rally Show Cancelled

We were really looking forward to seeing you guys at the Tidowave rally next week but we had to cancel our set. There's been an accident within the band and we are currently recovering, both physically and emotionally. That's all the info we can give out at this time. Thanks to all of you who sent cards and well-wishes.

Know that this will not in any way affect the release of our next single, "Arbiter of Digressions". We're super proud of it and can't wait for your reactions. Keep checking the site for more updates!

Cloverfield Plot Summary Revealed

A few days ago, Crave Network Web sites received an official plot synopsis for Cloverfield. Today, the movie's official site, http://www.cloverfieldmovie.com/, was updated with the plot synopsis as well. It reads as follows.

Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.

This comes as no big news. We know about Rob and his friends. We know there's a monster attack. We know it's filmed with handheld cameras. We know they are fighting for their lives.

The big question is, who are Rob's five friends? From the MySpace accounts we've already discovered, we know Rob has six close friends. Beth, HUD, Jamie, Jason (his brother), Lily, and Marlena.

In the trailers, we've definitely seen Jason(1) and Lily(2) and Marlena(3). Promotional photos show Beth(4) and HUD(5) are in the movie. And from a picture featured on 1-18-08.com, we've seen Rob with Jamie(6) and HUD.

That accounts for all six of Rob's friends, all who we assume would be at the party. So, is this a simple mathmatical mistake on Paramount's part, or is it something bigger?

Also of note: During the credits for second trailer, only six actors are mentioned. The actress that plays Jamie is not one of them. However, Jamie has been featured in a series of four video blogs, which seem an integral part of the plot leading up to the movie.

JamieAndTeddy.com has been updated once again. This time, Jamie is a little upset Teddy hasn't called and decides to strip for him to a song by some punk band, The Glass Helmets (not a real band, as far as we can tell). There's some talk about "The Cause" and then the video is over.

JamieAndTeddy.com has once again been updated. This time, Jamie is suffering from an upset stomach and has someone (man or woman?) in her bed. She seems very apologetic, yet her story is seemingly very innocent.

Hey it’s me. Umm, it’s really early in the morning and I just wanted to catch you before you started your day. But, I have to explain last night, if it’s not too late. Umm, I ran into your skanky ex-girlfriend, and she basically threatened me and said that she was going to tell you that I was making out with guys on the dance floor, which is 100% not true. And I would expect for you to believe me over her.
I mean she obviously still likes you and it’s…it’s really obvious. And I’m not going to entertain but, I just wish that you would trust me, I mean, you know, I went out with my girlfriends and you’re the one that’s off saving the world and, you know, following your dream, but you left me here. You know and I just…I’m lonely and I went out with my girlfriends and it wasn’t a big deal.
Just please believe me and I mean, last night was horrible. I lost my purse with my phone in it and my wallet and my keys and everything. And I tried to text you but I didn’t…I couldn’t. All right, I finally figured out how to work the camera, and I have about 15 horny girls waiting to go to Girls Night down stairs, so I have to make this really quick.

But, I'm here talking to you right now because of two reasons:

1: Because I miss you, I miss you so much, and...

2: Because you really effed me up with this gift, you can not--thank you by the way--but you can not send a girl a gift and tell her to open it on December 9th, which is forever away. You just can't do that. But, I gave you my word and it's going to sit here right at the edge of my bed until, until you say that I can open it, because I gave you my word.

And, I also got your text message, sorry...

[whispering] I got your text message earlier, I have to be quiet...

And I got, I just figured out the answer to your question: Six. Six times. And the answer that you got wrong is [whispering] corn bread.

Again, the significance of this video is lost on me. I'm sure there are several subtle clues about...something. For instance, Jamie receives a gift from Teddy, but she can't open it until December 9. Is this how long Cloverfield fans have to wait for more solid information? Jamie also mentions an answer to one of Teddy's questions, which is "SIX times." Whatever that means. Oh, and she appears to be drinking cranberry juice (possibly with some vodka). I wonder how that bladder infection is treating her?

Nenya over at unfiction has recently found some interesting information. By following details and clues of JamieAndTeddy.com.

The site is simply this picture of two bears, with the message, "Just for you Teddy-bear! I miss ya like CRAZY already!!!Love, your Lil' Lascano." Click on the picture and you'll be led to a password page. The password is jllovesth.

Some people have complained that the video locks up their computer, so luckily Dennis at Cloverfield Clues has uploaded the video on YouTube. You can check that out below.

After reading the back of the newest photo on 1-18-08.com, I did a quick search for Jamie Lascano on MySpace. Wouldn't you know it, the site exists! She's also got some interesting friends. I think you might recognize a few of them. Check out her MySpace page.



Be sure to browse her friends' pages as well. It turns out Rob Hawkins and the guy wearing the Slusho t-shirt in the trailer (Jason) are brothers. Some of these guys even like the show LOST. Too bad they're probably going to miss the start of season four.
